About this tool
The amount is first converted into a yearly figure using your hours, days and weeks, and the yearly figure is then divided into each period. For example, 36,000 a year at 40 hours for 52 weeks is about 17.31 an hour.
The optional tax figure uses one flat percentage and is only a rough guide. Real take-home pay depends on tax bands, allowances, pension and other deductions in your country. These are estimates for planning and are not accounting, tax or legal advice.

Common questions
How do I convert an annual salary to hourly pay?
Divide the yearly pay by the number of hours worked in the year, which is hours per week × weeks per year.
Why is monthly pay not weekly pay × 4?
A year has 52 weeks but only 12 months, so a month averages about 4.33 weeks.
